The art gallery is free and open to the public weekends: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00-5:00 pm
ART AND ART EDUCATION: Our purpose is to enrich our community through art classes, public art exhibits and resources for local artists. We believe that art education is critical for developing creativity and thoughtfulness in our youth. Our art gallery exhibits feature local artists and embrace contemporary art and the living culture of our region.
LANDSCAPE: We continue the tradition of plein air painting, and the appreciation of our local landscape, by offering out-of-doors painting classes and organizing the annual Hudson Valley Plein Air Festival which showcases professional plein air painters from around the country.
YOUTH & CHILDREN: In addition to classes throughout the year, we offer an extensive Children’s Summer Art Program with week-long in-depth classes covering a range of subjects such as traditional drawing and painting, print making, collage, photography, illustration, digital painting as well as active and imaginative topics such as magic, Nerf Camp and Character Design & Role Play. We also offer volunteer and internship opportunities to provide young people with skills, work experience and self-confidence.
SERVICE: We serve our community by providing free Senior Drop-in classes, free classes to veterans, scholarships for local children to attend the Summer Art Program, charity fundraisers, badges for scout troops and meeting space for community and non-profit groups.
